Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

This hotel is absolutely magnificent. The property is beautiful and the staff was wonderful. We stayed in a Jr Suite that overlooked the marina and could not have been happier. I would have loved to have stayed here a few more days! It’s the absolute best of Sorrento! Yes, it’s expensive but so worth it! Spend the money, you will be glad you did!

Having read that the hotel welcomes non-hotel guests and that you can enjoy a coffee with a beautiful view, we stopped by to do just that. And what can I say, it was a complete disappointment. The service was absolutely terrible, no mention of friendliness at all. We were ignored for a long time, no water was served with our coffee compared to other guests. The only nice thing was the view, which we told the waiter when he asked us how we liked it. I would rather spend my money somewhere else than here for such poor service, in a 5 star hotel.

I cannot thank the staff at the Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento enough for making my recent visit to Sorrento the trip of a lifetime. Prior to our arrival, I reached out to the hotel to ask for assistance in planning some special evenings and excursions for my wife and daughter to celebrate their respective birthdays. When we arrived at the resort, as an unbelievably generous surprise birthday present from the hotel, our suite was upgraded to one of the most exquisite suites in the resort, and arguably all of Sorrento. The view from our balcony was what I imagine heaven looks like. The gorgeous cliffs, the view of Mt. Vesuvius, and the beautiful sea, it’s no wonder so many timeless songs are sung about this place. The staff was always so helpful, kind and courteous. The morning breakfast was absolutely amazing and delicious. The resort’s gardens were exquisite and meticulously maintained. To the staff, thank you so much for everything you did to make our trip so special! We are forever grateful to you for making the memories of our vacation to Sorrento something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

My family switched to this hotel last minute, and we are thrilled that we did. They could not have made the reservation process easier or more accommodating, the front desk could not have been more helpful, and the rooms were amongst the nicest I have been in with an amazing view of mount Vesuvius and the bay of Naples from our private terrace. This is a true 5 star hotel in every sense.

I spent a few days at the hotel pool and what makes the place so pleasant is the friendly service. Giuseppe and the team are working non stop to make sure everyone’s stay is as good as it can be. He was constantly making sure everyone’s needs were met.. offered friendly advice about Sorrento.. and read our minds when we needed help around the pool or a wanted a meal/drink. Thanks again and we’ll be back
